(Holiday homework)

1. How did the film industry reflect the society in 2014 when it was produced?
Think about whatmethods it was distributed on, howpeople can access the film, howwas the film able to be a global success…
The lego movie was distributed through various uses of media such as creating their own online social media webpage and making accounts on social medias such as twitter. They also sold unique sets of toys to the public which had its own unique minifigures as well. By doing this they were also allowing themselves to make a good reputation with their consumer market. On top of that the lego movie also made many sponsorship deals with other brands and companies which allowed them to diversely gain a good reputation and do things such as create adverts with those companies.

2. How did the film’s distribution and circulation reflect the target audience? (remember the target audience for the film is NOT just children)
Think about howthe target audience can access the film.
Within the films distribution the film uses very friendly and fun colours and unique characters to apply to a target audience of younger children however we also see another target audience of an older age group as yes within the movie its mainly based at children however the parents are also targeted to. watch the movie as within the movie there are lots of examples of old school mini figures and references that children wouldn't understand however parents would. By doing this they have broadened their target audience and allowed themselves to make the biggest profit they can.
